Award winning director Rolf Heim creates Gynt’s fantastical world with the award winning New Yorkers, Phantom Limb, renowned for creating magical and mysterious puppets.
The commanding Danish actor Jens Jørn Spottag (from “Hvidsten Gruppen” a film about the Danish resistance during the Second World War;, “Bryggeren” a TV-series about the founder of Carlsberg and Robert Wilson´s renowned and “Woyzeck”) is daydreaming Peer Gynt, who lets everyone around him down in order to gain riches and momentum for himself. Tammi Øst portrays the women in Gynt´s life, and as the omniscient storyteller she becomes the anchor for both the tale itself and Peer Gynt.

Peer Gynt is a daydreaming show-off, who ventures into the world, where he becomes a rich slave trader, then loses his fortune, ends up in a lunatic asylum and almost drowns. As he returns home, broken and poor, the love of his youth is still waiting for him.
Gynt recalls his life in dreamlike flashbacks. Through the ruins of his memories, he tries to gain some understanding of himself and what really matters?
We encounter snippets of Gynt´s life as his recollections turn into a sort of dreamlike, seductive journey through time and continents. His stories are the only thing he has left and he will fight to keep them. They shape his identity, his life!
