The story of Jeanne D’Arc has become an iconic myth. At the age of 19 she was burned to death for heresy and for wearing men’s clothes. The firm army chief with the short hair didn’t fit the norms of that conservative medieval society, Jeanne D’Arc was part of.

In this staging we get close to a young woman’s fight for recognition in a society, dominated by men. On stage actor Danica Curcic stands as the outsider Jeanne D’Arc – accompanied by a big male voice choir. An intense story, pushing balances of power and gender in a way that makes the story come into prominence to this very day.

“That power struggle Jeanne D’Arc took 600 years ago, we undoubtedly still need this very day”
